Ben Roethlisberger Suspended for 4-6 Games
The league has just announced the Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for 4-6 games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Rodger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL still gave Ben a suspension even though he was never charged for a case involving a 20-year-old college girl who said that he sexually assaulted her in a nightclub back in March. "In your six years in the NFL, you have first thrilled and now disappointed a great many people. I urge you to take full advantage of this opportunity to get your life and career back on track," says Rodger Goodell in a letter to Roethlisberger. The president of the Steelers, Art Rooney II says, "I agree and support the decision that the commissioner has made."
This will be a huge loss for the first six games of the Steeler's season. Roethlisberger has had major success over his last six seasons in the NFL with the steelers. In 2004 Big Ben set an NFL record by going 13-0 as a rookie starter, and led them to the AFC championship that same year. Since then he has led Pittsburgh to two Super Bowls and has won both of them. Right now there are many questions being asked about who will start the beginning of the 2010 season. Charlie Batch has been Roethlisberger's back-up for quite some time now. Though he has struggled through injuries and is getting old. Dennis Dixon has also battled through injuries, which has left him at the third QB spot for past three seasons now. And just recently, the Steelers have acquired Byron Leftwich from Tampa Bay, he spent the 2008 season as a backup for the steelers.

March 2010 Update
During the month of March there have been many of signings, such as Will Allen (S), Jonathan Scott (T), and Arnaz Battle (WR). The big news is the resigning of Ryan Clark (FS) and the signing of former Steelers' Antwaan Randle El (WR) and Larry Foote (LB).
Larry Foote has been with the Steelers since 2002, but at the end of the 2008 season he signed with the Detroit Lions (his hometown team). Now he has just recently signed back with the Steelers.
Antwaan Randle El was originally drafted, as a quarterback, by the Steelers in 2002. After the draft, the Steelers switched him to receiver to play alongside Hines Ward. These two were a very successful receiver pair. Throughout 2004-2005 Randle El was their top kick returner and punt returner. With the Steelers, he made it to Super Bowl XL. He was the first non-quarterback to throw a touchdown in a Super Bowl(a 43 yard touchdown pass to Hines ward on a reverse play). In 2006 six he signed a seven year deal with the Washington Redskins. Now, in 2010, he has just recently signed back with the Steelers.
